Kid's Mystery Step Six
An accurate 1/4" seam allowance is crucial to this step. Make sure you are sewing a good 1/4" seam.
Step One
You will use: the 2--12 1/2" x 3 1/2" wood pieces and the
2--12 1/2" x 3 1/2" Blue #1 pieces, the 8 striped Flying Geese units
from
Kid's Mystery Step Four,
and 4--3 1/2" x 3 1/2" blue #2 squares. Assemble as shown. Make
4 of each unit.
Assemble as shown. Make 4 units
(are you kind of getting an idea of what we might be making? LOL!)
and then assemble these units as shown:
Step Two
Take the 2 wood strips, and the 4 blue #2 squares, and use the flying
geese method to make two units, as shown.
Step Three
Take the two units made in step two, and add the last Blue #1 as shown. Make two units.
Assemble all of these units, as shown. If you were clueless before...how about now? ;)
In this next part, you will need the yellow and blue flying geese
units from the
Kid's Mystery Step Three,
1--4 1/2" x 4 1/2" yellow, and the 4--2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
background squares.
Assemble these as shown. After pressing, trim to 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"
if needed.
Now, add blue #1--8 1/2" x 11 1/2" to both sides of the block,as shown.
Next time--assembly!
