12--1 1/2" x 1 1/2" checked squares
9--1 1/2" x 1 1/2" flowered (blue roses) squares
6--1 1/2" x 1 1/2" viney (green) squares
8--1 1/2" x 1 1/2" rose squares
Edging: 3/4" strips.
Backing: 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Scrap paper for safe sewing.

Sew the following rows together as shown.
You should place a scrap of paper under each piece as you sew.
This helps to keep the fabrics from getting stuffed into the feed dogs.
Tear off paper as you go.

Row One--Make three of these units.

Row Two: Make two of these units.

Assemble your quilt as shown below. Make sure to pin at every junction so your seams line up.
Use the paper again for stability.

Add your borders. First, measure across the quilt in the middle. This is your top and bottom edging.
Cut two strips 3/" x this measurement, pin on carefully, and sew across.
Press carefully.
Now, measure from top to bottom. This is the measurement of your side edgings.
Cut two strips 3/" x this measurement, pin on carefully, and sew on sides.
Press carefully.

Center your quilt on your backing, and finish off by hand or machine quilting, or tie it off.
Next, fold back and front edges together. Sew by hand around quilt.
